I am currently on a project where our welders are using half-face respiratiors with yokes to receive supplied air from a tube trailer onsite. The welders have not had problems with it too much other than one welder needing more air and the supplier taking a while to adjust the regulators. To beat the heat we have air conditioning systems in place to cool down the confined space. Most of my welders do not care for the full face respirators or the welding hoods with the air lines. I guess now it is based on comfort to insure compliance for these craftsmen.
